Mariners Cove Water System is a Class A water system as defined by Washington Department Health (DOH). Water comes from five wells and is disinfected, filtered, and stored on site for distribution to the community. It also provides water to the fire hydrants.
It is a standalone system that neither provides water to nor receives water from any other source. The system is maintained and operated in accordance with DOH regulations.
MCBC contracts with NWNatural Water, doing business as (dba) King Water Company, to manage the system. King Water takes readings three times weekly, tests water for contaminants, maintains the disinfecting and filtering of water, provides routine and emergency maintenance, and does all customer billing for water usages on a quarterly basis.
As required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), Mariners Cove Beach Club provides members with a Water Quality Report (known as a “Consumer Confidence Report" annually. See pdf documents at bottom.
In the event of a water system emergency, it is important to notify the water system trustee David Marshall at 360-929-7122 (voice or text), or any trustee. If no response contact King Water at 360-678-5336 (Mon – Fri, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm); after hours at 888-266-7408. In many cases we can respond faster than King Water. Regardless of contact method used please ensure the water system trustee is notified so we can follow up on repairs needed and keep affected parties informed.
New residents should contact King Water at 360-678-5336 to set up an account.

*Bill total includes $50 base rate charge/$60/base rate charge effective July 1, 2025 and assumes consumption at the maximum level in the rate tier for that billing period.
Additional fees payable to NWNWS
85% of Cove residents consume less than 30,000 gallons per quarterly billing period. Usage greater than 30,000 gallons, or a significant increase, usually indicates trouble, and should be investigated.
